Terms of sale and refunds

A FocusNod license is a one-time purchase for one or two Macs, with a year of updates. Founder pre-orders can be refunded in full any time before launch and for 14 days after. Regular purchases can be refunded within 14 days. Polar, our merchant of record, processes every payment.

Who you're buying from

FocusNod is made by DRISH LABS. Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record: it sells you the license on our behalf, collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Polar's terms also apply to the payment.

What a license includes

  • Single: use on 1 Mac. Personal: use on up to 2 Macs you own or use.
  • One year of updates from the day you activate. The version you have keeps working after that.
  • The built-in AI judgment, with no API key and no subscription.
  • Licenses are for personal use by one person and can't be resold or shared.

Founder pre-orders

  • Founder licenses cost $13 (1 Mac) or $20 (2 Macs), paid once, and are only sold before launch.
  • FocusNod is planned to launch in October 2026. Your license key is issued when you pay and activates in the app once it ships.
  • You can ask for a full refund at any time before launch, and for 14 days after launch.
  • If we decide not to ship FocusNod, we'll refund every pre-order in full, without you needing to ask.
  • Features described before launch may change as we build and test. We'll say so on this site.

Refunds

Regular purchases can be refunded within 14 days, no questions asked. To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or reply to your Polar receipt. A refund deactivates the license.

The AI part

FocusNod's smart checks rely on our server and a third-party AI model. If a service is down, the app fails open: it pauses nudges rather than guessing, and never blocks you. We may switch AI providers to keep the service running, without changing what the app reads. A fair-use daily cap on checks per license prevents abuse and is set far above normal use.

No medical claims

FocusNod is a focus and habit tool. It isn't a medical device and doesn't treat any condition.

Warranty and liability

FocusNod is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, we'll update this page and its date. Changes never reduce what you already bought. Questions: [email protected].
